The schedule

How City Rush runs

Here is how a typical City Rush session runs. We check the route, date, weather, expected crowds, and number of hosts before confirming your plan.

01

Base check-in

Meet at Burnt Cones in IOI Central Boulevard for check-in. We organise the teams and explain the route, timing, boundaries, and weather plan.

02

Role split

Share the jobs: read the map and clues, record answers, keep time, and check that everyone can keep up.

03

Explore the CBD

Teams follow clues and look for details in public areas along the confirmed Downtown / Central Boulevard route.

04

Look up for clues

Solve clues about the skyline, building details, directions, or local history from public areas.

05

Switch to shelter if needed

If rain, haze, heat, or crowds affect the route, we can use a shorter sheltered loop and skip optional outdoor checkpoints.

06

Regroup and debrief

Return to the meeting point to check answers, hear the scores, and talk about the race before heading to lunch, awards, or back to the office.

      Five event checks

Build the brief in this order

      1. Choose the challenge styleDecide if the event should use Kallang Rush, City Rush, Office Rush, or a custom challenge that needs a separate check.
      2. Choose the start and return pointChoose where teams will meet for the briefing, leave bags, and return for scores or in an emergency. For Office Rush, check the room and furniture layout first.
      3. Plan considerate checkpointsUse clues, observation tasks, QR scans, photos, and printed puzzles. Tasks involving a business or venue need permission first.
      4. Prepare a backup for bad weatherPrepare sheltered, mixed, and heavy-rain versions so the challenge can be simplified without improvising everything on event day.

      Red flags

      Simplify before confirming

      • The group wants a custom CBD challenge but there is no time to walk the course.
      • There is no confirmed start or return point for briefing, scoring, bags, or emergency handling.
      • The plan depends on entering shops, asking staff questions, making purchases, or blocking public walkways.
      • Weather fallback only protects the clue cards, not participant movement and regrouping.
      • The group is above 90 people but expects everyone to move through one small-group trail together.
      • City Rush is being treated as final-price confirmed before the course and event support are checked.
      • Office Rush is being planned in a room that cannot support teams, movement, scoring, or basic facilitator setup.

      Questions

      Adventure Race FAQ

Is this the same as a generic city race?

No. Adventure Race is a hosted checkpoint challenge with a meeting base, planned games, a weather backup, and a custom quote. Kallang Rush takes place around the sports precinct; City Rush explores the CBD.

      Does Kallang Rush require running?

No running is required. Teams walk between checkpoints, solve clues, share tasks, and submit answers through QR scans or photos before returning to The Cage.

Can Kallang Rush run for small groups?

The Basic package is designed for 10 to 40 people, from SGD 650 minimum or SGD 35 per person, whichever is higher. Final feasibility still depends on date, venue booking, course condition, and event details.

      Is City Rush available now?

Yes. City Rush is available as a premium custom-quoted CBD Adventure Race for Marina Bay and CBD teams, with Burnt Cones Gelato at IOI Central Boulevard Towers as the partner base. Custom quotes start from SGD 1,200, and the final quote depends on date availability, walking route, weather backup, group size, and facilitator support.

      What is Office Rush?

Office Rush is the office-friendly version of a mission challenge. It uses team missions, clue cards, light props, and hosted scoring without needing a major activity setup. Final feasibility depends on room setup, group size, timing, and customisation needs.

Will teams need to buy anything from shops?

No. City Rush and Kallang Rush should avoid purchase tasks, tenant questions, and shop-dependent clues unless a specific venue or tenant arrangement is confirmed in writing.

Why is this quoted differently from arena games?

Adventure Race events depend on walking loops, public-space conditions, weather exposure, facilitator coverage, and activity materials. We price these events separately from games held in one arena.
