Team building activities are essential in creating an exciting, extraordinary and productive team. So what exactly are team building activities? Which are the most effective and exciting ones? Well, the most effective and exciting team building activities are definitely games which help to form some great memories that the team can share and not only that, the best team building activities also help to increase communication among the team members. Here are the top 3 team building activities that you can use:
A Truth And A Lie
This is probably the most simple and fun activity that the all the team members can enjoy. Each member has to introduce him or herself by stating the name and telling one truth about and one lie. After each member has finished introducing themselves, there will be a quick open conversation where everyone questions each other on their truth and lie. The exciting part of this game is that you have to convince the other members to think that your lie is the truth, while guessing the truths or lies of other people. There will be points given for each lie guessed or for tricking other members about your lie. This activity helps you to get to know your team members better and increase communication and interaction among the team.
Have you ever played heart pumping and trill seeking sports such as paintball? Well, instead of getting shot by paint, this time you will get shot by an arrow. As scary as it may sound, the arrow has a foam tip so it can’t hurt you and you don’t have worry about getting killed. To make the game filled with fun and thrill, we would recommend you to at least have 8 people which then can be divided into 2 teams with 4 members on each team. But what if you have a larger team? Don’t worry, this game allows you to bring up to 24 people so that it can be much more exciting! The main objective of this game is to eliminate all opposing players until there is no one left or score points by hitting the target. Archery tag helps you to know how to work together as a team and brings out the team spirit to fight against whoever your team is facing in the future.
The Mine Field
The purpose behind this game is to improve and strengthen the team members’ trust, relationship and to communicate in a more effective way. You will have to find yourself an open space such as an empty room or hallway in which you will put ‘mines’ around that area. The mines can be anything like balls, bottles and such. Team members are to be separated into teams of two. One team member is to be blind-folded and the other can see and talk, but is not allowed to enter the field or touch their partner. The hard part is that the blind-folded member will have to listen to the other members command to avoid the mines and cross from one side of the field to the other. This will surely help them to have a stronger bond and trust within the team.
